HQ4250 is an AS568-250 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring with an inside diameter of 4.984 in (126.59 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.262 in (133.65 mm). In service, this quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified here for economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs, strong abrasion and tear resistance. The compound resists many alcohols, hydraulic fluids, and propane and butane. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It is not the right choice where polar solvents or strong acids are present.

Typical settings include fluid power, automotive, and general industrial maintenance.
