HQ4260 is an AS568-260 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring with an inside diameter of 6.484 in (164.69 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.762 in (171.75 mm). In service, this quad-ring seats in a standard o-ring gland while offering improved dynamic performance.

The material holds up against hydraulic fluids, petroleum-based oils, and greases and lubricants. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) delivers the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer, reliable performance in both static and dynamic service. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It should not be specified for service in automotive brake fluid or strong acids.
