The HQ4270 is an AS568-270 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 8.984 in (228.19 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.262 in (235.25 mm). This quad-ring provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified here for reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. The material holds up against water, hydraulic fluids, and many alcohols. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where strong acids or ketones are present.
