The HQ4282 is an AS568-282 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 15.955 in (405.26 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 16.233 in (412.32 mm). This quad-ring seats in a standard o-ring gland while offering improved dynamic performance.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) is known for an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs and low compression set under sustained load. Expect good resistance to many alcohols, water, and propane and butane. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). It should not be specified for service in ozone and direct sunlight or ketones.
