This quad-ring is supplied in AS568-359 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 5.725 in (145.42 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.145 in (156.08 mm), catalogued under part number HQ4359. It provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified here for strong abrasion and tear resistance, low compression set under sustained load. It resists petroleum-based oils, many alcohols, and greases and lubricants. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It is not the right choice where ketones or polar solvents are present.
