Ordered as HQ4371, this is an AS568-371 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 8.475 in (215.27 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.895 in (225.93 mm). The quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

Buna-N (Nitrile) delivers reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, strong abrasion and tear resistance. The compound resists hydraulic fluids, greases and lubricants, and many alcohols. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). The profile itself contributes a parting line located away from the sealing surface and two sealing bands per contact face rather than one.
