HQ4429 is an AS568-429 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 4.975 in (126.37 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.525 in (140.34 mm). In service, this quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry. The catalog record notes: Made IN China 1-22-10.

Expect good resistance to water, petroleum-based oils, and greases and lubricants. Buna-N (Nitrile) delivers reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, low compression set under sustained load. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Verify compatibility before use with ketones or polar solvents. The profile itself contributes two sealing bands per contact face rather than one and resistance to the spiral twisting that defeats round-section rings.
