The HQ4441 is an AS568-441 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 6.975 in (177.17 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.525 in (191.14 mm). This quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is valued for the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer, strong abrasion and tear resistance. The material holds up against hydraulic fluids, water, and propane and butane. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Exposure to ketones or polar solvents will shorten service life. The profile itself contributes a parting line located away from the sealing surface and lower compressive load required to achieve a seal.

It sees regular use in general industrial maintenance, automotive, and agricultural equipment.
