HSN (HNBR) 80 568-031

The HSN80031 is an AS568-031 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 80 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 1.739 in (44.17 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.879 in (47.73 mm). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is valued for the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability and strong resistance to rapid gas decompression. It resists modern refrigerants, petroleum oils and fuels, and heat and oxidation. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). Applications involving esters or ketones call for a different compound.
