S70MD250 is an AS568-250 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 4.984 in (126.59 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.262 in (133.65 mm). In service, this o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.
Silicone is valued for flexibility that holds at very low temperatures, physiological inertness and low toxicity. Expect good resistance to weathering, dry heat, and many oxidizing chemicals. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C).
The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Typical settings include electronics and electrical enclosures, sanitary process lines, and ovens and heated equipment.
