Product Specification

-
Ordered as S70MD344, this is an AS568-344 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 3.85 in (97.79 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.27 in (108.46 mm). The o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

The compound resists dry heat, weathering, and ozone and UV exposure. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Silicone is known for physiological inertness and low toxicity, flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C).

The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Typical settings include medical devices, ovens and heated equipment, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.

This item is sold individually under part number S70MD344. Check the compound against your process media, pressure and temperature before committing to a design. APG supports cross-referencing from drawings, samples and competitor numbers when a listed size is not an exact fit.
