Product Specification

-
APG stocks the S70MD440, an AS568-440 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 6.725 in (170.82 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.275 in (184.79 mm). An o-ring delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

Expect good resistance to extreme heat and cold, many oxidizing chemicals, and dry heat. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Silicone is widely chosen for excellent electrical insulating properties and flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to abrasive dynamic service or hydrocarbon fuels and oils will shorten service life.

The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Typical settings include electronics and electrical enclosures, medical devices, and food and beverage processing.

This item is sold individually under part number S70MD440. Application requirements vary, so validate compatibility with your process conditions prior to installation. APG supports cross-referencing from drawings, samples and competitor numbers when a listed size is not an exact fit.
