Product Specification

-
The S70MD473 is an AS568-473 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 23.94 in (608.08 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 24.49 in (622.05 mm). This o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

As a material, Silicone is known for an exceptionally wide service temperature range and very good compression set resistance across its range. This material stands up to weathering, many oxidizing chemicals, and ozone and UV exposure. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in abrasive dynamic service or hydrocarbon fuels and oils.

This item is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. You will find this material specified across sanitary process lines, food and beverage processing, and electronics and electrical enclosures.

Reference part number S70MD473 when ordering; the item is sold individually. As always, verify media compatibility and operating conditions against the requirements of your specific application. APG supports cross-referencing from drawings, samples and competitor numbers when a listed size is not an exact fit.
