Product Specification

-
Ordered as S70MD920, this is an AS568-920 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 1.475 in (37.47 mm), a cross section of 0.118 in (3 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.711 in (43.46 mm). The o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Silicone delivers an exceptionally wide service temperature range, physiological inertness and low toxicity. This material stands up to weathering, many oxidizing chemicals, and extreme heat and cold. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where hydrocarbon fuels and oils or abrasive dynamic service are present.

The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. You will find this material specified across food and beverage processing, electronics and electrical enclosures, and sanitary process lines.

This item is sold individually under part number S70MD920. Application requirements vary, so validate compatibility with your process conditions prior to installation. APG can cross-reference from an existing part number, a drawing or a physical sample if this size is not an exact match.
