The o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

It resists hydraulic fluids, propane and butane, and greases and lubricants. Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for low compression set under sustained load and an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). It is not the right choice where polar solvents or ketones are present.
