H70MD245 is an AS568-245 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 4.359 in (110.72 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.637 in (117.78 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The compound resists propane and butane, water, and greases and lubricants. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) is widely chosen for the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer and low compression set under sustained load. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Exposure to strong acids or polar solvents will shorten service life.
