568-007 BUNA 70 SQUARE CUT RINGS

SH70007 is an AS568-007 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring measuring an inside diameter of 0.145 in (3.68 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.285 in (7.24 mm). In service, this square-cut ring provides an economical lathe-cut alternative where a moulded o-ring is not required.

It resists many alcohols, petroleum-based oils, and water. Buna-N (Nitrile) is widely chosen for low compression set under sustained load, strong abrasion and tear resistance. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. The profile itself contributes greater resistance to extrusion than a round section of the same size and a rectangular section that will not roll in the groove. Note that a square section is less suited to high-speed rotary service, where the larger contact area raises friction and heat.
