568-015 BUNA 70 SQUARE CUT RINGS

The SH70015 is an AS568-015 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring with an inside diameter of 0.551 in (14 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.691 in (17.55 mm). This square-cut ring provides an economical lathe-cut alternative where a moulded o-ring is not required.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is widely chosen for low compression set under sustained load and an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs. The material holds up against water, hydraulic fluids, and propane and butane. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. Verify compatibility before use with ketones or strong acids. The profile itself contributes greater resistance to extrusion than a round section of the same size and simple lathe-cut manufacture at low tooling cost. Note that a square section is less suited to high-speed rotary service, where the larger contact area raises friction and heat.
