SH70126 is an AS568-126 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring built to an inside diameter of 1.362 in (34.59 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.568 in (39.83 mm). In service, this square-cut ring offers greater contact area against the gland wall than an equivalent o-ring.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) delivers reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, low compression set under sustained load. It resists greases and lubricants, petroleum-based oils, and water. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). The profile itself contributes simple lathe-cut manufacture at low tooling cost and a flat contact band that spreads sealing load across a wider area. Note that a square section is less suited to high-speed rotary service, where the larger contact area raises friction and heat.
