Ordered as SH70146, this is an AS568-146 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.612 in (66.34 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.818 in (71.58 mm). The square-cut ring provides an economical lathe-cut alternative where a moulded o-ring is not required.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) delivers low compression set under sustained load and the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Expect good resistance to greases and lubricants, many alcohols, and water. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). The profile itself contributes simple lathe-cut manufacture at low tooling cost and greater resistance to extrusion than a round section of the same size.
