568-155 BUNA 70 SQUARE CUT RINGS

The SH70155 is an AS568-155 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 3.987 in (101.27 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.193 in (106.5 mm). This square-cut ring seals with a broad flat contact band instead of the line contact of a round-section ring.

It resists hydraulic fluids, water, and greases and lubricants. Buna-N (Nitrile) offers reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Verify compatibility before use with strong acids or ozone and direct sunlight. The profile itself contributes a flat contact band that spreads sealing load across a wider area and a rectangular section that will not roll in the groove. Note that a square section is less suited to high-speed rotary service, where the larger contact area raises friction and heat.
