The H6X158 is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 158 mm (6.22 in), a cross section of 6 mm (0.236 in), and an outside diameter of 170 mm (6.69 in). This o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

The compound resists water, many alcohols, and propane and butane. Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer, reliable performance in both static and dynamic service. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Exposure to automotive brake fluid or polar solvents will shorten service life.
