568-161 BUNA 70 SQUARE CUT RINGS

The SH70161 is an AS568-161 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring measuring an inside diameter of 5.487 in (139.37 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.693 in (144.6 mm). This square-cut ring provides an economical lathe-cut alternative where a moulded o-ring is not required.

This material stands up to hydraulic fluids, greases and lubricants, and many alcohols. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) is known for an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs and the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in ozone and direct sunlight or ketones. The profile itself contributes a flat contact band that spreads sealing load across a wider area and simple lathe-cut manufacture at low tooling cost.
