H5X170 is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 170 mm (6.693 in), a cross section of 5 mm (0.197 in), and an outside diameter of 180 mm (7.09 in). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, low compression set under sustained load. The material holds up against greases and lubricants, hydraulic fluids, and water. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Exposure to automotive brake fluid or ketones will shorten service life.
