H4X172 is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 172 mm (6.772 in), a cross section of 4 mm (0.157 in), and an outside diameter of 180 mm (7.09 in). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The compound resists water, propane and butane, and greases and lubricants.
