The H3X178 is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 178 mm (7.008 in), a cross section of 3 mm (0.118 in), and an outside diameter of 184 mm (7.24 in). This o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Expect good resistance to many alcohols, greases and lubricants, and propane and butane. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) delivers strong abrasion and tear resistance, the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer.
