APG stocks the H2X2, a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 2 mm (0.079 in), a cross section of 2 mm (0.079 in), and an outside diameter of 6 mm (0.24 in). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The compound resists propane and butane, water, and greases and lubricants. Buna-N (Nitrile) delivers strong abrasion and tear resistance, the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). Applications involving strong acids or ozone and direct sunlight call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, construction equipment, and fluid power.
