H5X21 is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 21 mm (0.827 in), a cross section of 5 mm (0.197 in), and an outside diameter of 31 mm (1.22 in). In service, this o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) is known for the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer and an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs. The compound resists greases and lubricants, hydraulic fluids, and water. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. Exposure to automotive brake fluid or strong acids will shorten service life.
