Part number H5X225 is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 225 mm (8.858 in), a cross section of 5 mm (0.197 in), and an outside diameter of 235 mm (9.25 in). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is widely chosen for low compression set under sustained load, strong abrasion and tear resistance. It resists hydraulic fluids, propane and butane, and greases and lubricants. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. Exposure to ozone and direct sunlight or strong acids will shorten service life.
