SH70228 is an AS568-228 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.234 in (56.74 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.512 in (63.8 mm). In service, this square-cut ring offers greater contact area against the gland wall than an equivalent o-ring.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) delivers low compression set under sustained load and an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs. This material stands up to hydraulic fluids, water, and greases and lubricants. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C).
