H5X229 is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 229 mm (9.016 in), a cross section of 5 mm (0.197 in), and an outside diameter of 239 mm (9.41 in). In service, this o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, strong abrasion and tear resistance. It resists petroleum-based oils, many alcohols, and propane and butane. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It is not the right choice where strong acids or automotive brake fluid are present.

Typical settings include hydraulic and pneumatic systems, agricultural equipment, and fluid power.
