APG stocks the H6X229, a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 229 mm (9.016 in), a cross section of 6 mm (0.236 in), and an outside diameter of 241 mm (9.49 in). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

It resists many alcohols, propane and butane, and greases and lubricants. Buna-N (Nitrile) delivers low compression set under sustained load and the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It is not the right choice where polar solvents or ozone and direct sunlight are present.
