SH70238 is an AS568-238 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring built to an inside diameter of 3.484 in (88.49 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.762 in (95.55 mm). In service, this square-cut ring presents a flat rectangular section that cannot roll or twist in its groove, making it a dependable static seal.

The material holds up against hydraulic fluids, propane and butane, and water. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) offers reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). Verify compatibility before use with ozone and direct sunlight or strong acids. The profile itself contributes a rectangular section that will not roll in the groove and greater resistance to extrusion than a round section of the same size.
