This material stands up to greases and lubricants, hydraulic fluids, and propane and butane. Buna-N (Nitrile) offers reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It is not the right choice where polar solvents or ozone and direct sunlight are present.

Typical settings include construction equipment, general industrial maintenance, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
