Ordered as SH70246, this is an AS568-246 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring measuring an inside diameter of 4.484 in (113.89 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.762 in (120.95 mm). The square-cut ring offers greater contact area against the gland wall than an equivalent o-ring.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) delivers reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, low compression set under sustained load. This material stands up to petroleum-based oils, hydraulic fluids, and propane and butane. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C).
