This o-ring is supplied in black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 266 mm (10.472 in), a cross section of 4 mm (0.157 in), and an outside diameter of 274 mm (10.79 in), catalogued under part number H4X266. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is known for the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer and low compression set under sustained load. The material holds up against petroleum-based oils, greases and lubricants, and many alcohols. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Exposure to polar solvents or ketones will shorten service life.
