Ordered as SH70275, this is an AS568-275 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring measuring an inside diameter of 10.484 in (266.29 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 10.762 in (273.35 mm). The square-cut ring resists the spiral failure that affects round rings on long reciprocating strokes.

The material holds up against greases and lubricants, many alcohols, and hydraulic fluids. Buna-N (Nitrile) is valued for the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer and an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Applications involving automotive brake fluid or polar solvents call for a different compound.
