The H2X28 is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 28 mm (1.102 in), a cross section of 2 mm (0.079 in), and an outside diameter of 32 mm (1.26 in). This o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) is valued for the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer and low compression set under sustained load. Expect good resistance to many alcohols, propane and butane, and hydraulic fluids. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Exposure to polar solvents or automotive brake fluid will shorten service life.
