Ordered as H4X280, this is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 280 mm (11.024 in), a cross section of 4 mm (0.157 in), and an outside diameter of 288 mm (11.34 in). The o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) offers the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer, reliable performance in both static and dynamic service. Expect good resistance to propane and butane, many alcohols, and petroleum-based oils. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in polar solvents or ozone and direct sunlight.
