The SH70347 is an AS568-347 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring measuring an inside diameter of 4.225 in (107.32 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.645 in (117.98 mm). This square-cut ring offers greater contact area against the gland wall than an equivalent o-ring.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) is valued for reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs. It resists petroleum-based oils, hydraulic fluids, and many alcohols. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where polar solvents or ozone and direct sunlight are present. The profile itself contributes a rectangular section that will not roll in the groove and a flat contact band that spreads sealing load across a wider area.
