Ordered as H8X42, this is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 42 mm (1.654 in), a cross section of 8 mm (0.315 in), and an outside diameter of 58 mm (2.28 in). The o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is known for reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, strong abrasion and tear resistance. This material stands up to water, many alcohols, and greases and lubricants. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). It is not the right choice where strong acids or automotive brake fluid are present.
