568-426 BUNA 70 SQUARE CUT RINGS

SH70426 is an AS568-426 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring measuring an inside diameter of 4.6 in (116.84 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.15 in (130.81 mm). In service, this square-cut ring provides an economical lathe-cut alternative where a moulded o-ring is not required.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) delivers reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, strong abrasion and tear resistance. This material stands up to propane and butane, hydraulic fluids, and many alcohols. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). The profile itself contributes a rectangular section that will not roll in the groove and a flat contact band that spreads sealing load across a wider area. Note that a square section is less suited to high-speed rotary service, where the larger contact area raises friction and heat.
