Ordered as H1X44, this is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 44 mm (1.732 in), a cross section of 1 mm (0.039 in), and an outside diameter of 46 mm (1.81 in). The o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified here for low compression set under sustained load and most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. This material stands up to many alcohols, greases and lubricants, and water. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). Applications involving strong acids or ozone and direct sunlight call for a different compound.
