Ordered as H6X46, this is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 46 mm (1.811 in), a cross section of 6 mm (0.236 in), and an outside diameter of 58 mm (2.28 in). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is widely chosen for strong abrasion and tear resistance, the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. The compound resists propane and butane, petroleum-based oils, and greases and lubricants. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). It should not be specified for service in polar solvents or strong acids.
