An o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is valued for low compression set under sustained load, strong abrasion and tear resistance. Expect good resistance to greases and lubricants, petroleum-based oils, and water. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). It is not the right choice where ozone and direct sunlight or ketones are present.
