H4X53 is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 53 mm (2.087 in), a cross section of 4 mm (0.157 in), and an outside diameter of 61 mm (2.4 in). In service, this o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Buna-N (Nitrile) delivers an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs, strong abrasion and tear resistance. This material stands up to petroleum-based oils, many alcohols, and greases and lubricants. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Applications involving automotive brake fluid or polar solvents call for a different compound.
