The H2X76 is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 76 mm (2.992 in), a cross section of 2 mm (0.079 in), and an outside diameter of 80 mm (3.15 in). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The material holds up against petroleum-based oils, water, and hydraulic fluids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) is widely chosen for strong abrasion and tear resistance, an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It should not be specified for service in automotive brake fluid or polar solvents.
