6226 STYLE HOMOGENIOUS U CUP

APG stocks the NU6226-43, a Buna-N (Nitrile) U-Cup U-Cup Seal supplied with a 1/4 inch inside diameter, a 1/2 inch outside diameter, and a height of 1/8 inch. An u-cup seal uses a U-shaped profile that system pressure forces outward, tightening the seal as pressure rises.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified here for strong abrasion and tear resistance, economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs. This material stands up to greases and lubricants, water, and petroleum-based oils. Applications involving automotive brake fluid or polar solvents call for a different compound.

Typical settings include automotive, fluid power, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
