6226 STYLE HOMOGENIOUS U CUP

The NU6226-48 is a Buna-N (Nitrile) U-Cup U-Cup Seal with a 5/8 inch inside diameter, a 1 inch outside diameter, and a height of 3/16 inch. This u-cup seal seals more effectively as system pressure increases, without added squeeze at rest.

This material stands up to water, propane and butane, and greases and lubricants. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) is widely chosen for reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, strong abrasion and tear resistance. It should not be specified for service in automotive brake fluid or strong acids.
