*6226 STYLE HOMOGENIOUS U CUP

NU6226-49 is a Buna-N (Nitrile) U-Cup U-Cup Seal built to a 3/4 inch inside diameter, a 1-1/8 inch outside diameter, and a height of 3/16 inch. In service, this u-cup seal seals more effectively as system pressure increases, without added squeeze at rest.

The material holds up against petroleum-based oils, many alcohols, and hydraulic fluids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. It should not be specified for service in polar solvents or strong acids.
